The Department of Labor recently released revised templates and additional FAQs related to the SBC. Regulators are extending the safe harbors and enforcement relief provided last year. Penalties will not be imposed on plans/issuers working to comply.

Highmark Announces Allegheny Health Network
Highmark announces creation of Allegheny Health Network as the region's newest integrated delivery system. The hospitals and providers of West Penn Allegheny Health System will now serve as key partners in the network.

Coordinated Health remains a network hospital
Highmark announced that they have received a new multi-year contract that will keep 2 of Lehigh Valley's largest hospitals (Coordinated Health - Allentow and Bethlehem locations) in network for years to come. New contract took effect 1/1/13.

Signature 65 and Blue Rx PDP update
Highmark previously advised how they were withdrawing their Medigap plan from the Small Group (2-50) market as of january 2013. Highmark is also advising they they will withdraw their Blue Rx PDP for groups with less than 10 enrolled.

PPACA Employee Count Data Collection
Highmark advises that clients may receive calls from a Highmark contracted vendor to get accurate employee counts. The vendor will identify themselves as Highmark when they reach out to clients. This is due to MLR reporting for PPACA.

New Rating Structure for February 2013 (DELAYED)
Highmark previously announced changes to the Small Group rating structure, however, these changes are being delayed. Additional information regarding future rating structure changes will be communicated when available. Feb 2013 rates are available.
