Mail-Order & Retail Pharmacy Benefit Update - Act 207 (new PA law)
Effective 3/1/13, this new PA law, says fully insured members will be able to access retail pharmacy benefits at same level as mail-order, as long as the pharmacy accepts same payment schedule. To date no pharmacy has accepted the offer.

Employer identification number request
Employer groups who offer a Medicare Advantage or PDP plan to their employees are being asked to assist IBC. Per CMS regulations, carriers must report accurate EIN's for all customers and AHNJ is requesting affected groups respond by 2/8/13.

Employer ID Number Request
CMS requires that IBC provide CMS with the EIN for any Medicare Advantage or PDP customer active during 2012. In order to comply, IBC has mailed this sample letter and form to all affected clients, asking for return by 2/8/13.

HMO & POS members no longer need referrals for Podiatrist
Beginning 1/1/13, HMO and POS members no longer need to see a podiatrist designated by their PCP. Appropriate copay, deductible or coinsurance will apply, but Keystone members can now see podiatrists without referral.

Enhancements to help members get the most value
